Customs clearance is the processing of customs operations, i.e. completing all the required formalities before the Customs Authorities, for the movement of goods through the customs. Customs clearance also includes procedures for the movement of Community goods subject to excise duty.
The professional who is certified by the Ministry of Finance to carry out customs-related tasks is called a customs agent.
