SUBMISSION OF AUTHORISED CBAM DECLARANT APPLICATION

As of 20 August 2025, the official guidelines of the Greek Authorities (SDOE) are available for submitting the application to obtain the status of Authorised CBAM Declarant, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2025/486 on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). This authorisation is mandatory for all companies importing CBAM products (iron and steel, cement, fertilizers, aluminium, electricity, hydrogen) and will be a prerequisite for continuing imports into the EU from 1 January 2026.

KALAFATIS & CO is the first customs brokerage firm in Greece to have developed comprehensive CBAM services, actively participating in European forums and maintaining direct updates from the European Commission and the Greek Authorities. We undertake the preparation, submission and follow-up of the CBAM application, while also providing ready-to-use checklists, document templates and Excel tools that ensure speed, accuracy and full compliance.
